Coach - Mark Collins
Head Coach/Asst. GM: Mark Collins
Coach Collins has completed his second season at the helm with the Blazers. In his first two seasons he led the Blazers to the Cascade Cup Championship and a spot in the 2013 and 2014 Junior National Tournaments. In 2014 the Blazers also won the McBride Cup for top team during the regular season. He was also named coach of the the year for the NPHL in 2013. Collins spent the prior 2 years as an assistant coach with the Wenatchee Wild U18. Prior to that, he was the head coach of the Whatcom Warriors.
Coach Collins is also the Hockey Director at Bellingham Sportsplex, coaching the Learn to Play Hockey Program for youth and adults. During the summer months he Is the Hockey Director and Coach of the Collins Elite Hockey elite summer camps. He has been instrumental in the development of players locally, helping many to move on to the Junior ranks and college.
A native of Pilot Mound, MB, Collins moved on to play his High School and Junior hockey with the Notre Dame Hounds in Wilcox, SK. He played collegiate hockey at North Dakota State University, where he was on the All Region and All Tournament teams for the NJCAA in 1995.
Collins has lived in Bellingham for 14 years and continues to play hockey locally. He currently maintains his Level 4 USA Hockey Coaching Certification.
Assistant Coach - Jake Saville
Assistant Coach: Jake Saville
Saville is going in to his third season as the Blazers Assistant and has been instrumental in the team's growth and development. Saville played college hockey at the State University of New York College at Cortland. He was named team captain during his sophomore, junior and senior years. He also played in the North American Hockey League on teams in Bozeman, Mont., and Marquette, Mich.
Assistant Coach - Phil Carron
Asisstant Coach: Phil Carron
Phil first strapped on a pair of skate at the age of three, and has remained an avid fan of the sport since. He played youth hockey in Bellingham at the Sportsplex and was part of state championship contending team for five years, the last of which his team won the title. He spent one year playing junior hockey with the Bellingham Bulls where he served as an assistant captain.
Phil has prior experience teaching Learn-to-Play Hockey for all age groups, but is especially excited to be working with players at the junior level. This will be his first season with the Blazers.

Head Coach U16 - Rod Collins
Assistant Coach: Rod Collins
Coach Collins is native of Pilot Mound, MB Canada where he grew up fine tuning his hockey skills. Prior to the Blazers he has been the GM of the Wenatchee Wild in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) and the Head Coach of the Wenatchee Wild U18 Hockey Program. He had been a head coach of boys hockey at Shattuck St. Mary’s for 10 years and was with the Notre Dame Hounds hockey program from 1989 to 1997. He has coached the game of hockey for 30 years. He has also coached in the Manitoba (MJHL), Saskatchewan (SJHL) and BC (BCHL) Junior Leagues.
Coach Collins has Level Five Certification through USA Hockey and Advanced Level with Hockey Canada. Rod has a B.A. degree in Education from Brandon University.
General Manager - Lance Calloway
General Manager: Lance Calloway
Lance Calloway is the Blazers General Manager. He has been with the Whatcom Sports Commission for 14 years as it's Executive Director. Calloway has degree in Economic and Finance from Western Washington University. He will be overseeing the off ice operations including administration of game day operations, team promotion and marketing, as well as sponsorship.
